Assembly Welder Fabricator Location: Ilkley / Skipton / Otley / Keighley Type: Permanent Full-Time Shifts & Pay Rates: Earlies (Fixed) 6:00am 2:15pm / Lates: 14:00- 00:30am (Mon-Thurs) Rates: £17.30 £22.48 per/hour (DOE) Hours: 37.5 hours per week Overtime: Paid at x1.5 Key Responsibilities of an Assembly Welder Fabricator: Read and interpret technical engineering drawings Fabricate machine parts and structural assemblies (small to large) Perform MIG and basic TIG welding to internal quality standards Set welding equipment correctly (amps, volts, wire feed, gas) Use hand tools and finishing tools to complete assemblies to spec Cut materials using gas, plasma, and mechanical methods Assemble components including basic pipework (pneumatic and standard) Operate swaging and rolling machinery (training provided) Perform dimensional inspections and quality checks Tag and store assemblies appropriately Safely operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment Adhere to H&S procedures and production schedules Complete all work to required timescales and company standards What We re Looking For: Essential: Level 3 Plate Welder Apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ Diploma Proficient with MIG welding and basic TIG Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Solid understanding of welding processes and symbols Competence using hand tools and workshop machinery Desirable: ISO 9606 Coded Welding certification Experience with overhead cranes and handling large fabrications I am looking to speak to experienced Fabricator Welders who are looking for a rewarding and challenging contract position.
