We are looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team in the West Midlands. The main purpose of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor is to Support the Commercial Team by providing assistance to the Senior Surveyor(s) in their day to day duties to ensure that all financial aspects of development schemes are reported and controlled. RESPONSIBILITIES: Carrying out procurement of the subcontract trades. Assisting the Senior Surveyor with internal cost reporting and external valuations Carrying out specific Surveying duties Re-measurements exercises etc. Reviewing different construction methods for commercial feasibility REQUIREMENTS: Has or is working towards a recognized degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying. A talented construction professional ideally from a similar background, having gained experience with a housebuilder, contractor or consultancy Skilled in financial management and cost control Able to identify potential problems before they arise and evolve effective, innovative and cost efficient timely solutions in the event that they do.
