Job Overview We are a 1500 sow outdoor breeding unit working a three-week batch system producing 8kg weaners for a major UK company, and we are looking for a person with pig experience to join our existing team of 5 and ideally become or if needed with further training become the assistant manager. The team is comprised of both male and female staff and working together the aim is to complement each other to maintain the consistently high standard of welfare and performance being achieved. The position also requires the applicant to have a full UK driving licence and also be capable of driving tractors and preferably teleporter, but training will be given to pass any qualification required. The successful candidate MUST have at least 2 years pig experience but does not need to have experience as an assistant manager. Pay will be dependant on experience. Candidates need to demonstrate: Full UK driving licence. Consistently high welfare standards and experience working with and managing livestock is essential.
