A leading building and civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior project Manger to lead the delivery of a multi million commercial life science development in Cambridge.
This is a high profile role within a growing specialist sector, offering the opportunity to work on technically complex, design-led projects.
The Role of the Senior Project Manager
As Senior Project Manager, you will have full responsibility for the successful delivery of a major life sciences scheme from pre-construction through to handover. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage key stakeholder relationships, and ensure projects are delivered safety, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall leadership and management of a large-scale commercial life sciences project
- Managing project programmes, budgets, risk and procurement strategies
- Leading site and project teams, fostering a high-performance culture
- Managing client, consultant and supply chain relationships
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Overseeing design coordination and managing change control
- Reporting on progress, commercial performance and key project risks
About the Senior Project Manager
You will be a proven Senior Project manager with experience delivering complex commercial buildings, ideally within life sciences, laboratories, healthcare, or high tech environments.
- Demonstrable experience delivering large scale commercial schemes over £150million
- Strong understanding of technically complex builds
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Solid commercial and contractual knowledge
- Degree in Civil Engineering Desirable
- Chartered Status
