QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) essential
A strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
A genuine commitment to supporting pupils with additional needs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong classroom and behaviour management
Creativity, flexibility, patience and resilience
Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team

As an SEN Teacher, reporting to the Head of Education, you will plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning that meets each pupils individual needs.
You will:
Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons
Support pupils through one-to-one and small group teaching
Use specialist strategies and resources to inspire learning
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, HLTAs and external professionals
Assess progress, maintain records and contribute to EHCPs
Build strong, positive relationships with pupils, families and agencies
Promote independence, confidence and achievement in and beyond the classroom
