The Fire Service Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient, compliant, and high-performing delivery of fire alarm maintenance, remedial works, and team management in accordance with BS 5839-1:2025.

Responsibilities - Fire Service Manager:

As a Fire Service Manager, your role will include:

• Overseeing fire alarm maintenance, inspections, and remedial works to BS 5839-1:2025 standards.

• Managing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensuring timely delivery and high completion rates.

• Prioritising and managing reactive works, ensuring compliance with SLAs.

• Providing leadership to 18 engineers, service desk teams, and supervisors.

• Conducting team meetings, one-to-ones, and performance reviews.

• Managing service backlogs and ensuring safety-critical tasks are addressed promptly.

• Implementing continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and service quality.

• Acting as the escalation point for customer issues and ensuring effective resolution.
• Collaborating with project and compliance teams to ensure cohesive service delivery.

• Monitoring KPIs, analysing data, and producing performance reports.

Requirements - Fire Service Manager:

• Minimum of 2 years managerial experience

• Proven experience in fire alarm service management or a similar leadership role within the life safety or building services sector.

• Strong technical knowledge of fire detection and alarm systems.

• In-depth understanding of BS 5839-1:2025.

• Excellent leadership and organisational skills.

• Proficient in service management systems and reporting tools.

• Strong communication and customer service abilities.

• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
