Job Description

The Triage Manager plays a central role in turning raw field data into clear technical insight and action. Working within an IoT / LoRaWAN network environment, this role receives information from field engineers, analyses it, and determines what the underlying issues are.


Its a hybrid role combining data analysis, problem-solving and occasional field work, ideal for someone with a technical or engineering background.


Key Responsibilities
  • Receive and review detailed data sets from field engineers (site visit results, meter checks, observations, photographs).

  • Sort and categorise data into clear actionable catagories.

  • Analyse results over time to determine if issues have been resolved or are recurring.

  • Identify patterns, root causes and emerging trends across devices, locations and projects.

  • Prepare concise summaries, dashboards or reports for the Technical Field Manager and wider leadership.

  • Join client meetings and site visits to provide technical context. Preparing clear evidence and rationale to support discussions

  • Work closely with field engineers to refine data capture processes and improve the quality of information collected.

  • Contribute ideas on how to improve triage workflows, tooling and overall network performance.

Skills, Experience & Attributes

Essential

  • Degree or equivalent knowledge in a relevant technical discipline such as: Telecommunications, Networking, Electronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.

  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with data, spotting patterns and drawing logical conclusions.

  • Good understanding (or strong interest in learning) of wireless communication principles, RF, or IoT networks.

  • Ability to use spreadsheets and/or basic data tools to organise and analyse information.

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills able to explain technical findings in simple, structured terms.

  • Proactive, curious mindset with a genuine interest in problem-solving and continuous improvement.

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and occasionally work in the field alongside engineers.

Desirable

  • Experience with IoT, LPWAN (e.g. LoRaWAN), RF planning or network monitoring tools.

  • Previous exposure to utilities, smart metering, or field operations environments.

  • Experience using project management or ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA, Trello, ServiceNow, etc.).

  • Any prior experience presenting findings to stakeholders or contributing to technical discussions.
