Technical Designer (Joinery & Interior Fit-Out)
Location: Surrey
Employment: Full-Time Permanent Hybrid Working
Are you a skilled Technical Designer with experience in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Autodesk Inventor? In this hybrid role, youll split your time between working from home and collaborating in our office/workshop, creating detailed manufacturing drawings for bespoke joinery and interior fit-out projects across commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential environments.
What youll be doing:Creating accurate 2D and 3D technical drawings and models
Producing workshop-ready drawings for joinery production
Collaborating with project managers and production teams to develop efficient technical solutions
Supporting design development and value engineering
Ensuring your drawings meet technical, structural, and regulatory standards
Refining designs based on surveys and client requirements
Contributing ideas to improve design and digital workflows
Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or Inventor
Experience in joinery, cabinetry, or interior fit-out
Understanding of materials, assembly methods, and manufacturing processes
Ability to interpret architectural and site drawings and convert them into production documentation
Strong attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving approach
Clear communication and collaborative mindset
Experience with CNC output or nesting workflows
Knowledge of woodworking and joinery manufacturing
Experience with site measurements and surveys
