We are seeking to recruit a full time Consultant for First Response Service across Mid Mersey and are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive colleague to provide dynamic leadership to the service and the Trust as a whole. This is a new full-time post based in Hollins Park Hospital. The post holder will work collaboratively with our Operational Manager, Clinical Service Manager and FRS Specialty doctor based in Clock View to provide leadership and clinical expertise to the First Response Service and ensure we deliver an excellent, responsive, and high-quality service. The post holder will also be supported, where appropriate, to develop a special interest in a clinical area, which meets the Trust objectives. The post holder will be responsible for the overall assessment, and management of patients presented to FRS in Mid Mersey by working closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team including clinical service manager, advanced clinical practitioner, clinical lead, Operational Managers (Band 8A), dual diagnosis practitioners, mental health practitioners, assistant practitioners, assistant clinical psychologist, clinical psychologist, social workers and support workers. Main duties of the job Urgent reviews for the patients and to chair management planning meetings involving families, community and social care services. Clinical/managerial supervisor responsibilities for the specialty doctor based in FRS in Clock View Hospital. For Medic Assessments within team there are appointments available within office hours. They are first triaged by the clinical leads. Registered practitioners can speak to the medic on site or by phone to discuss acceptance of service users. Urgent Assessments are facilitated by the medic directly and via secretary. If an MHAA is required, this should be discussed with the clinical lead. Every opportunity should be actioned to support contact with the service user. This includes telephone contacts, home visit, discussion with family or carers, prior to application to careline, in order to gain as much clinical or collateral information as possible. An exciting 3 month secondment opportunity for a part time Lead Consultant Psychologist to provide professional leadership for all psychologists working in Forensic Healthcare Services. To be responsible, in collaboration with the Service Director and other Care Group senior leadership, for the provision, and development of psychological services for the care group, ensuring the delivery of high-quality psychological services. To hold a specialist case load. Main duties of the job To be accountable as part of the CDS leadership team for the management of Trust finances and business development. To represent the CDS across Trust-wide services in developing new services, bidding for new business and negotiating contracts with commissioners of services. To provide professional leadership for psychology and psychological therapies for the CDS across Trust-wide services. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and to provide professional leadership by exercising responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the CDS across Trust-wide services. To propose and implement policy and service development changes in relation to psychology and psychological therapies across the service. To ensure that systems for effective recruitment, professional appraisal and identification of CPD are in place and working effectively across the service. To be responsible for the development of applied psychology services within the care group, including clear systems for effective recruitment, and workforce planning in line with the Trust's business plan and the CDS service model. Person Specification Qualifications Post-graduate doctoral level training in applied psychology or its equivalent for those trained before 1996 or outside the UK as approved by the HPC, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology. Post doctoral training in one or more additional specialised areas of psychological practice relevant to the specific Care Group/Service. HPC Registered as a practitioner Psychologist Pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training and/or other fields of applied psychology. Consultant Psychiatrist in Community Adult Eating Disorders The service has gone through expansion over the past 5 years, incorporating FREED early intervention, establishing treatment pathways with broadening of BMI criteria. Our comprehensive MDT includes Clinical Psychologists, Specialist Nurses, CBT therapists, Specialist Dieticians, Occupational Therapist/s, Peer Support Workers, Admin Team including full-time Medical Secretary and shared with 0.8 WTE Consultant Psychiatrist. The team are also currently training an ACP Practitioner. We have close working relationships with the North and South Derbyshire CAMHS Eating Disorders Services, links with Gastroenterology at Chesterfield Royal Hospital and Derby Royal Hospital (incorporating joint Gastro-ED clinics) and colleagues from local specialist inpatient units and the regional collaborative provider network. We also have close links with a local third sector charity, First Steps. We have a supportive ED-Cons peer group within this network as well as strong working relationships with ED colleagues nationally. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will take a key role in the department and they will be working and supporting current and future service developments. Clinical responsibilities for treating and managing pts with eating disorder working closely with the Derbyshire ED MDT, GPs, Gastroenterology and SEDU colleagues. Contribution to quality improvement and service development Developing teaching and training regarding Eating Disorders We support the training of Medical Students, Higher Trainees with Special Interest placements, and development of Advanced Clinical Practitioner. We are proactive in supporting individuals who have received care and recovered, to take on clinical support or educational roles in our team and within the Trust. We train with and contribute to the National Whole-Team ED Training Programme. The successful candidate would be offered the opportunity to complete the RCPsych ED Credential as well as to access ongoing mentoring/supervision to support their work within Eating Disorders.
