Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in fire protection systems and engineering principles, with expertise in system design, installation, and inspection. This role requires proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics, as well as hands-on experience with fire alarm systems and fire sprinkler fittings. The Fire Engineer will work closely with construction teams to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement fire protection systems, including fire alarms and sprinkler systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to develop effective fire safety solutions.
  • Conduct inspections of construction sites to ensure compliance with fire safety codes and regulations.
  • Utilize CAD software for system design and layout of fire protection equipment.
  • Provide field service support for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems.
  • Collaborate with contractors and clients to assess needs and provide technical guidance on fire safety measures.
  • Maintain knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) as it pertains to low voltage systems.
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of sensors, alarms, and other fire protection devices.
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively during installation and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fire protection engineering or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various hand tools and power tools.
  • Familiarity with construction processes and standards related to fire safety.
  • Experience in alarm system sales or service technician roles is preferred.
  • Must have experience in GENT and Siemans alrms systems
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
