About the Role

We are seeking an experiencedRegistered Managerto lead a 5-bed home currently supporting 3 children, with a fourth soon to join. The successful candidate will provide leadership, operational oversight, and a safe, therapeutic environment for children while ensuring full compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the 5-bed childrens home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment.
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and statutory requirements.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to maintain a skilled, motivated team.
  • Implement and monitor safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Manage budgets and oversee the upkeep of the home.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation for stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
  • Build positive relationships with external agencies, including social workers, schools, healthcare providers, families, and carers.
  • Provide regular reports to the Responsible Individual and senior management.
  • Address and resolve any safeguarding or operational issues promptly.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in residential childcare, ideally with management responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, statutory regulations, and Ofsted frameworks.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff teams.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Commitment to child-centred care and emotional wellbeing.
