Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities of the role: Manufacture of control boxes and panels, wire assemblies in accordance with demand levels to suit Production and Spares requirements. Experience in the assembly and correct termination of cable looms and harnesses. Ability to read, interpret and follow diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of material and other written or pictorial instructions/ procedures to accurately assemble products. Purchase Requisitions to enable the parts to be ordered in time and in the correct quantities. Ensure that goods received from suppliers correspond to those ordered and agreed with suppliers (correct parts, correct quantities, correct version status, correct labelling, and correct packaging). Escalate any production issues to the Production cell Leader or Production Manager as required. Maintain the workplace with a high degree of tidiness and cleanliness using 6S disciplines. Based in their workshop near Burton on Trent this Panel Wirers role will involve working on the repair and refurbishment of used equipment and the main duties will include all aspects of electrical wiring/assembly ranging from control panels, sub-assemblies/frames through to smaller component installation. The successful applicants for this Panel Wirers position will have a proven track record in a similar role ideally with a recognised relevant qualification although this is not essential. The ability to read and understand schematic diagrams is essential. Previous experience of machine building or assembly would be advantageous.
