PAY: MPS- Outer London
CONTRACT: Full Time & Permanent
WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday
START DATE: January 2026
LOCATION: Redbridge, East London
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Redbridge, East London, is seeking a Year 5 Cover Teacher to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from January 2026. The school is looking for a confident and capable practitioner with strong behaviour management and the ability to engage and motivate pupils across Key Stage 2.
About the role: Year 5 Cover Teacher
Teach and cover Year 5 classes across the curriculum
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons when required
Manage behaviour positively and effectively, maintaining a focused learning environment
Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on pupil progress
Work collaboratively with the KS2 team to ensure continuity and high standards
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
Full-time & Permanent position
January 2026 start

The ideal candidate: Year 5 Cover Teacher
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - ECTs may also apply
Strong behaviour management is essential
Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 2
Confident delivering lessons across the curriculum
Reliable, proactive, and adaptable
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Motivated to help pupils achieve their full potential
