The role We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sr. Tax Provision Manager to join the Tax team and oversee our consolidated income tax provision process. The ideal candidate will have experience with US GAAP ASC740 tax reporting in a public company environment including SOX controls. This position will report to the International Tax Director and will be responsible for managing and further improving Perk's corporate tax provision and on-going external reporting processes. This role will be based in London and, while we do offer certain flexibility, the responsibilities of the role require you to be in the office several days per week. What you will do Lead the US GAAP income tax provision process for Perk and its subsidiaries, including consolidating tax workings, supporting the preparation and review of financial statements, working with external auditors, and maintaining the SOX control framework for tax. Manage the the interim period and annual global income tax reporting obligations under US GAAP ASC740, including the determination of consolidated tax expense, deferred taxes, valuation allowances, uncertain tax positions, effective tax rate reconciliation, and disclosures processes. Develop and maintain the interim and annual tax closing processes in partnership with the technical accounting & reporting team and external auditors, including the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the respective internal control framework. Own tax accounting for share-based compensation under ASC718 and liaise with advisors to develop global intercompany recharge policy. Identify automation opportunities to drive process efficiencies, quality improvements, and risk mitigation strategies and drive the implementation of tax software and automation solutions to support the tax reporting processes. Support and drive ad-hoc projects within a broader tax context with respect to topics including international tax, transfer pricing, tax planning and structuring initiatives, M&A activities, tax audits and others. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of global tax policies, procedures and controls. Provide guidance to the finance, accounting, legal, stock admin and operational teams on direct tax compliance and reporting requirements and applicable criteria. Partner closely with key members of other business functions and teams on relevant tax matters. Liaise with financial statement auditors to align on timelines and support required for on-going audit with relation to income tax matters. This includes preparing quarterly income tax memos. What you need Minimum of 10 years experience in ASC740 tax reporting, preferably a mix of experience working at a large public accounting firm and a U.S. publicly traded corporation. Strong knowledge and extensive experience with ASC 740, specifically with respect to the tax accounting aspects of global tax reporting consolidation, effective tax rate reconciliation, deferred tax accounting, uncertain tax positions, valuation allowances, return to provision processes, share based compensation and tax disclosures. Strong understanding of accounting principles including US GAAP and IFRS and relevant book-tax differences.
