Key Responsibilities • Supervise the day-to-day running of the machine shop, ensuring it is safe, clean, and well organised. • Train and mentor staff and intern students in the safe and effective use of manual lathes, mills, grinders, and general workshop tools. • Develop and deliver high-quality training sessions, both one-to-one and in small groups. • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and serviced and manage consumables and supplies. • Contribute to the design of new training programmes and help shape the future of our workshop facilities. About You They are looking for someone who is: • An experienced general machinist with at extensive hands-on experience in a professional workshop. • A natural trainer and mentor who enjoys sharing knowledge and seeing others progress. • Confident in manual machining techniques and workshop safety procedures. • Organised, practical, and proactive in keeping tools and equipment in top condition. • Comfortable taking responsibility for the smooth running of a shared space.
