Pay:Based on experience

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability (on-call rota)

Role Overview

A well-established and growing organisation is seeking an experienced Commercial Catering Engineer to join its expanding team. The role involves servicing clients across restaurants, hotels, pubs, schools, and other hospitality and public-sector environments. Candidates based in London and surrounding areas are especially encouraged to apply.

You will be responsible for maintenance, repairs, fault-finding, and installation of a wide range of commercial catering and refrigeration equipment. Experience with Rational ovens and commercial dishwashers is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on commercial catering equipment
  • Work on a variety of appliances including cookline equipment and warewashing systems
  • Deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality service to clients across multiple sectors
  • Participate in the on-call rota for evening and weekend call-outs (currently 1 week in 6; retainer paid)
  • Travel to customer sites using the company vehicle
  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate effectively with the team and clients

Working Hours

  • 40 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, 8am5pm (1-hour lunch)
  • Regular optional overtime

Candidate Requirements

  • COMCAT 1, 3, and 5 qualifications essential
  • Proven experience working with commercial catering equipment
  • Strong electrical and gas fault-finding and repair skills
  • Full UK driving licence essential
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
