Windows Build Engineer

Leidos is looking for a Windows Build Engineer to join Leidos UK within the Defence Team, based in Herefordshire. The Windows Build Engineer is responsible for preparing, configuring and delivering Windows devices according to predefined build standards and customer requirements. This role focuses on hands on device setup, applying existing images, installing required software, validating functionality and ensuring every device is fully ready for deployment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform Windows device builds following standardised build processes and documentation
  • Installation of devices at customer locations
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic build or configuration issues
  • Ensure quality standards are met for each device build
  • Communicate with internal and external customers and support teams
  • Act as SME for specific build types or processes within the team
  • Write and maintain work instructions and knowledge articles where required
  • Travel to other customer sites across the country as required, but infrequently
Required experience and competencies
  • Experience with device building and hardware configuration in an enterprise environment
  • Familiarity with MECM / AD / Windows Server environments
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment
  • Organised, proactive and customer focused approach with a strong attention to detail
  • Understanding of ITIL processes in an ESM environment
  • Ability to gain and hold security clearance
  • Excellent analysis and problem solving skills, taking ownership of complex incidents
  • Excellent communication skills

Location: This role will be based in Herefordshire, with very occasional travel to other sites.

Clearance Required: DV clearance.

Pay Range

£34,800.00 - £43,500.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
