Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team the Cranleigh area. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of vehicles. This is a hands-on role that requires mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment.

We are looking for a full time technician but may consider part time please also apply if you are looking for part time work minimum 3 days a week

We are looking for experienced level 2 / 3 certified or city & guilds or Time served equivalent technicians for this role. You must hold a full uk driving licence and have a good selection of tools.

Salary is up to £37,500 with a ote of £40,000ish with bonus depending on experience

Working hours are Monday - Friday 8.30 - 17.30 NO WEEKENDS

21 days personal holidays plus all bank holidays plus a Christmas minimum 3 day break (fully paid). We look after our team and pay them well and also make sure they have personal time to spend with their families

Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, and filter replacements

- Diagnose and repair vehicle issues, such as engine problems, electrical malfunctions, and brake system failures

- Conduct inspections and tests to identify any potential issues or safety concerns

- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, assemble, and repair vehicle components

- Follow schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex problems

- Weld or fabricate parts as needed for repairs or modifications

- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed

- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician

- Mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems

- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools

- Familiarity with equipment repair and maintenance procedures

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers
