Job Description

Role Summary

NRL is recruiting a Planner to join a leading client's Nuclear team. This high performance role supports complex engineering on a key UK nuclear site.

Location: Cumbria
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum
Key Responsibility: Planner

Responsibilities
  • Lead project planning activities using Primavera P6 for large scale construction projects.
  • Develop, manage and maintain project schedules, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project objectives.
  • Collaborate with project controls and planning teams to allocate resources effectively and achieve schedules.
  • Provide ongoing support to Program and Project Managers, offering insights on schedule performance, risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and report on critical path activities, key milestones and any variances from the project plan.
  • Ensure data is accurately entered into project systems and provide detailed, actionable reports to stakeholders.
  • Evaluate new project proposals to establish realistic and achievable timelines for successful delivery.
Qualifications
  • Experience of (WBS) Work Breakdown Structures.
  • Good Primavera (P6), MS Project and MS Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of integrated project controls and ability to assess project performance and maturity.
  • Experience planning projects of varying levels of complexity and in different stages of the Project Lifecycle.
  • Ability to constructively challenge the project performance and data with the IPT to ensure the project plans and schedules reflect reality and mitigate risk to the business.
  • Minimum 1 year construction planning experience.
