Assignment Overview We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support ongoing Financial Crime (FinCrime) data initiatives on a short-term contract basis. The role focuses on data analysis, SQL querying, and Excel-based reporting, ideally within a financial crime or compliance context. This is a remote role suitable for candidates based in the UK (preferred) or US, offering flexible working hours and the opportunity to contribute to high-impact FinCrime analytics projects. Required Skills and Experience Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel Demonstrated experience in data analysis and data interpretation Experience working with large, complex datasets Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail Clear communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment Comfortable working under flexible engagement terms Preferred (not mandatory): Background in Financial Crime Compliance (FinCrime), AML, Sanctions, or PEP data analysis Experience extracting insights from FinCrime systems or datasets Exposure to data-driven compliance or risk management projects 3-15 years of total work experience (flexible depending on depth of data experience) Interview Process Stage 1: Technical assessment (SQL and data analysis test) Stage 2: Interview with hiring manager or project lead Key Notes for Candidates This contract provides flexibility but also requires adaptability due to the zero-hours model. Strong self-management, communication, and reliability are essential for success in this engagement.
