This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer in United Kingdom.

We are seeking an experienced DevOps professional to lead the development, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. In this role, you will collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of software platforms. You will oversee container orchestration, automate infrastructure, and maintain resilient, scalable environments while resolving complex technical challenges. This position demands strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and automation tools, combined with the ability to troubleshoot incidents efficiently under pressure. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability and scalability of global services.

Accountabilities
  • Architect, implement, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, and ArgoCD.
  • Manage, maintain, and scale containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes across multiple regions.
  • Design, automate, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure as code best practices.
  • Troubleshoot complex platform incidents and serve as an escalation point for operational issues.
  • Build and manage high quality User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments for reliable pre production testing.
  • Monitor and maintain cloud infrastructure and services to ensure maximum performance, security, and uptime.
  • Participate in a rotating on call schedule to provide 24/7 system support and incident resolution.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in DevOps or similar roles with proven expertise in CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, and containerized environments.
  • Hands on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, ArgoCD, and Nexus.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure automation using Terraform or similar IaC tools.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EKS, EC2, VPC, S3, and Transit Gateways; experience with GCP or Azure is a plus.
  • Extensive experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
  • Solid understanding of database systems such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB in cloud native environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash for automation tasks.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work across international, distributed teams.
