A supportive primary school in Cheltenham is seeking a dedicated Student Mental Health Assistant to join their team ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for aspiring Educational or Child Psychologists, counsellors, therapists, or anyone interested in a career supporting children with additional needs.As a Student Mental Health Assistant, you will:Work 1:1 and in small groups with children facing challenges such as trauma, anxiety, school avoidance, and emotional regulation difficulties.Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to support their wellbeing and development.Assist in creating a safe, nurturing environment alongside SENCOs, behaviour mentors, and teaching staff.Be actively involved in emotional support programmes both in and outside of the classroom.
