A leading not-for-profit organisation operating leisure facilities across the UK is seeking a Finance Business Partner- Investmentsto support the financial evaluation of capital projects and commercial development initiatives. The role sits within a wider, successful not-for-profit group and plays a key part in ensuring investment decisions align with long-term strategic priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead rigorous financial appraisal of business cases,
- Partner with Business Development and Commercial teams to assess new ventures and strategic partnerships
- Track post-investment performance and support the development of corrective action plans
- Strengthen governance processes and ensure compliance with delegated authority frameworks
- Improve financial models and automate investment reporting to enhance decision-making
- Finance Business partner with key budget holders, providing insightful analysis to help deliver pre-agreed outcomes
This is a pivotal role that helps optimise capital allocation and ensures resources are deployed to maximise organisational value.
Applicants need to have the following
- Demonstrated experience in investment appraisal, financial modelling, and evaluating business cases
- Display strong Finance Business Partnering capability and experience.
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to assess strategic alignment and financial viability
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and clearly present complex analysis
- A collaborative approach, with proven ability to work effectively across finance, commercial, and operational teams
- Advanced Excel skills
- Hold a recognised accounting qualification such as CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA.
