The Role

As a Senior Planner, you will play a central role in delivering high-quality planning services to a long-standing client base. You'll manage planning applications of varying scales and complexity, undertake site appraisals, prepare appeal documentation, and lead on Local Plan representations. You will also have opportunities to support junior colleagues and contribute to continued team growth.



Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating planning applications from inception through to determination

  • Preparing planning statements, appeal documentation, and Local Plan representations

  • Undertaking site appraisals and feasibility assessments

  • Liaising with clients, local authorities, and external consultants

  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required

  • Contributing to business development and maintaining client relationships



About You

  • Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline

  • MRTPI qualified (or very close to achieving chartership)

  • Ideally 5-10 years of experience within planning (consultancy or local authority)

  • Strong understanding of the UK planning system and legislation

  • Excellent written, verbal, and project management skills

  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
