The Role

At Charles Tyrwhitt, our purpose is to Make it easy for men to dress and we can't do that without our specialist teams.

We're looking for an Assistant Store Manager to work with George and the Team at our Brent Cross store.

What you will be doing

The Assistant Manager role is key in the store's leadership structure, and the main objective is to influence and exceed sales targets, maximise KPI goals, ensure an excellent customer service experience, and drive the store's operational metrics. You'll lead and work with the sales team to identify and exceed sales opportunities and targets, recognising and coaching great performance. You will also build lasting relationships with customers, manage appointments (corporate clients and wedding parties), and handle customer feedback with the Store Manager.

Strong selling skills and product knowledge are key in delivering high level service. The Assistant manager will train the team on the brand's service and selling standards, encourage the team to use all store and business training tools - commercial reports, VM directives, academy courses - so all colleagues can be the best they can be.

The Assistant manager will influence a great culture, ensuring a professional, enjoyable store atmosphere for both the sales team and customers, with a solution led approach.

Beyond those responsibilities, the Assistant manager will support the Manager in reporting and analysing data, operational and stock responsibilities, cost minimisation, recruitment and retention, colleague engagement and HR, Health & Safety and compliance.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Previous retail management experience
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire and motivate to the highest standards
  • Coaching and leadership skills
  • Highly commercial with strong analytical skill
  • Stock management and loss prevention experience
  • Understanding systems with good Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Strong relationship building and customer / stakeholder management
