We are looking for a Service Improvement - Data Officer to join our Adult Social Care (ASC) Service Improvement team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is analytical, curious, and motivated to make a positive impact in a large, diverse service area.

About the role

As our Data Officer, you will play a key role in helping us understand how well our services are performing and where improvements can be made. You will develop dashboards and performance reports, analyse trends, and work closely with managers to set and monitor stretching performance targets.

You will lead the gathering and interpretation of data from a range of sources, supporting evidence-based decision making and ensuring we are continually benchmarking our services against national standards and best practice. You will also support and sometimes lead service improvement projects, helping us to deliver better outcomes for residents.

What you'll be doing
  • Developing and maintaining performance dashboards and balanced scorecards
  • Analysing a wide range of quantitative and qualitative data
  • Producing clear, accurate performance reports and recommendations
  • Supporting managers to develop KPIs and track progress against business plans
  • Coordinating and leading performance review meetings
  • Identifying risks, issues and opportunities for improvement
  • Managing or supporting service improvement projects
  • Researching best practice, policy changes and market intelligence
About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong analytical skills and experience producing performance information
  • Is confident working with data systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Can manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Communicates clearly and can influence and engage people at all levels
  • Is self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently
  • Understands performance management and quality assurance principles
