Are you an experienced Accounts & Audit Manager seeking a new challenge in Solihull?

A well-established and growing independent accountancy firm is looking for a skilled and driven professional to manage a diverse client portfolio, overseeing both accounts preparation and audit engagements from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a varied client portfolio, leading accounts preparation and audit assignments from planning through to completion
  • Lead, mentor, and support audit teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining high-quality outputs
  • Review and analyse financial statements, audit files, and related documents, providing guidance and feedback to junior staff
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights on business performance, planning, and compliance matters
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to deliver additional services
  • Collaborate with senior management and partners on business development initiatives to support firm growth
  • Stay up-to-date with accounting standards, regulatory changes, and industry trends
  • Contribute to the training and development of junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement
Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience managing accounts preparation and audit engagements in an accountancy practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting, and accounting principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities, with a proactive, problem-solving approach
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively
Qualifications
  • ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with a solid track record in audit and accounts preparation
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
