Peterborough City Council Children's Commissioning Team are looking for an experienced, motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a fixed term Contract Monitoring Officer. This role is pivotal in ensuring a high quality of services which are provided to Children and Young People in Care and will be responsible for contract monitoring and quality assurance of these services, with a particular focus on Supported Accommodation Services for 16 - 18-year-olds .
Our commissioning function is dynamic and high performing with a can-do approach, ensuring the best quality range of services are commissioned to meet the diverse needs of our population. We are looking for a candidate with a similar hands-on approach that can enhance the services continuing development and delivery.

We work with a range of local, regional, and national organisations and public sector bodies. Together we want to improve the quality of life for vulnerable children, young people, and families.
Commissioning is important for improving public services. Our goal is to help vulnerable children, young people, and families by working with partners to prioritise their needs. We understand that achieving our goals requires collaboration within complex systems. We use the commissioning cycle as a framework for our work and often work on multiple phases at once. If necessary, we may return to an earlier phase for specific tasks.
