Purpose of Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Security Officer to join our established security team based in Merthyr Tydfil. We are seeking Security Officers to provide general manned-guarding services at one of our prestigious sites. This is a key position within our professional security team, delivering a proactive, high-quality, customer-focused service to our client. Our Security Officers are expected to be flexible and take responsibility for delivering an effective and proactive security service. Duties include detection and prevention activities, as well as responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, visitors, and contractors, while ensuring the integrity of the site's security is upheld.

Job Description

We require Security Officers to join the team and provide general manned-guarding security services at one of our prestigious sites. This is a key role within our professional Security team, delivering a proactive, high-quality, customer-focused security service to our client. Our Security Officers are expected to be flexible and take responsibility for delivering an effective and proactive security service. Duties include conducting detection and prevention activities, responding to emergencies, and maintaining a safe and secure environment for all staff, visitors, and contractors. Officers must ensure the integrity of the site's security at all times by upholding the highest standards of vigilance and response.

Responsibilities
  • Internal and external patrolling
  • Reception and X ray scanning duties
  • CCTV monitoring
  • Control room and key control tasks

You will support the Security Supervisory and Management team by ensuring that regular reviews of security vulnerabilities are carried out, and that any concerns identified are appropriately highlighted, addressed, or effectively mitigated. You must also demonstrate a high level of competency in the use of all security systems to maximise their operational effectiveness.

Essential Qualifications/

A valid Frontline SIA Licence is essential for this position. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
