Employee Assistance Programme. Cycle to Work Scheme. Key responsibilities: Lead and contribute to the design of drainage systems, highway layouts, and S278/S38 schemes. Work closely with developers, architects, and local authorities in a design office environment. Undertake and manage design work for: Drainage systems in line with Sewers for Adoption, Building Regulations, and the SuDS Manual. On and off-site highway features, ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Manual for Streets. Produce high-quality technical reports, including Flood Risk Assessments. Manage client relationships and represent the company in project meetings. Oversee project management responsibilities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely project delivery. Mentor and train junior team members, supporting their professional development. Conduct appraisals, identify training needs, and ensure performance targets are met within the team. Skills & Experience required: A degree or HND in Civil Engineering. Incorporated Engineer (IEng) status or actively working towards it with the Institution of Civil Engineers. Strong experience in drainage design, including Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS). Proficiency in software such as InfoDrainage, Causeway Flow, or MicroDrainage. Competency in AutoCAD and Site 3D or equivalent 3D software. Proven track record in civil engineering project management, including drainage, external works, and highways. Strong experience in client management and project representation.
