CNC Machinist- Double Days

A recognised high volume manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Engineeringdepartment with the appointment of a CNC Machinist.

Working from their manufacturing facility in Shropshire,the CNC Machinistwill be responsible for:

• Online Programming & operating of CNC machinery
• Selection of tooling and set up- Cutter and holders
• Selection and set up of work piece holding devices- Set up fixtures/vices/clamping systems
• Interpret engineering drawings to determine machining requirements
• Monitoring of machines performance, making adjustments to program data (Speeds, Feeds etc)
• In process and Post process inspection using both visual and precision measuring tool methods
• Operation of Heidenhain /Fanuc CNC Control systems
• Create components within specification to engineering drawings
• Work with programming team to feedback information for machining programme efficiency improvements
• Support in all aspects of Fixture assembly cell manufacturing.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of an Apprenticeship and 3 axis CNC experience.
