Home Manager - Ilford - TE69016
My client in Ilford are seeking a Home Manager to lead a small, well-established residential service supporting young adults with mental health needs and learning disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated manager who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care in a supportive and values-driven environment.
As Home Manager, you will have full operational responsibility for the service, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and compliance are consistently met. You will lead, develop, and inspire a close-knit team, creating a positive culture that promotes dignity, independence, and positive outcomes for the young people we support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall management and leadership of a 12-bed residential home
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
- Developing and maintaining high-quality, person-centred support plans
- Managing staff recruitment, supervision, appraisal, and development
- Overseeing rotas, budgets, and day-to-day operations
- Building strong relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies
- Promoting safeguarding, risk management, and positive behaviour support
- Driving continuous improvement and maintaining excellent service standards
About You:
- You must hold a relevant NVQ Level 4 or above (e.g. Health & Social Care / Leadership & Management)
- You will have previous management experience within a residential or supported living setting
- Proven experience working with mental health, learning disabilities, and/or young adults
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A calm, resilient, and solution-focused approach
- A genuine passion for supporting people to live fulfilling and independent lives
