Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for a Retail Senior Buyer to join a forward-thinking and expanding commercial team near Swindon. Lead procurement of goods and services to meet commercial and operational targets.
Drive strategic sourcing activity and manage supplier relationships.
Lead, coach, and mentor junior procurement team members.
Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, pricing structures, and rebate agreements.
Work closely with Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, and other internal stakeholders.
Support procurement activity across construction and retail fit-out projects.
Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and pricing compliance.
Develop procurement schedules using project specifications and drawings.
Ensure compliance with internal processes and health and safety requirements.
Strong experience within a buying or procurement role.
Excellent Excel skills and strong general IT competency.
Proven negotiation skills and ability to build long-term supplier relationships.
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
CIPS, CIOB, or RICS qualification (or working towards) desirable.
Full UK driving licence.
Minimum GCSE-level education.
Salary between 38,000- 40,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
