You will be required to follow processes ensure that products meet customer specifications To work in a target driven environment to achieve the daily shift targets for quality, safety and output. Work as a team and unsupervised Have attention to detail Final quality checks before products are sent to customers. Conduct on site FSQA audits of new and existing suppliers and facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory and Chipotle requirements. Maintain working relationships with each facility's food safety leadership. Review experimental design and results related to validation studies-product shelf life, ingredient functionality, and antimicrobial interventions. Work closely with Chipotle FSQA Team and other cross functional (Culinary, Marketing, Supply Chain) stakeholders on all initiatives that may impact your category. Manage the day to day execution of food safety and quality associated with your category including the monitoring of restaurant feedback, guest feedback, regulatory activity, product removals, Quality Inspection Protocols, and Distribution Center handling of your category. Monitor and report Food Safety and Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) associated with your category. Conduct investigations, root cause analysis, and hold suppliers/DC accountable to implementing corrective actions associated with real time monitoring of food quality reports from restaurants and guest feedback. Ensure that the FSQA team has the appropriate data and substantiation to support guest facing nutritional data and claims. Extend Prepared Foods FSQA support to additional concepts and markets as needed, ensuring consistent standards and execution. WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TABLE Bachelor's Degree (BS) in a related field, such as Food Science, Meat Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or Food Systems from a 4 year college or university. This formal education must include substantial emphasis on Food Safety. Master's Degree (MS) in disciplines related to Food Science or Food Safety is preferred. 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience. Working knowledge of the food manufacturing industry (production, processing, packaging, distribution, and consumption). Meaningful experience working within the Prepared Foods category is preferred. Understanding of experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation of results related to validation studies (food product shelf life, ingredient functionality, and antimicrobial interventions). Experience related to sensory analysis of prepared foods is strongly desired. Working knowledge of GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) Auditing Schemes, and Certification Bodies. Ability to conduct on site audits at food manufacturing facilities. Familiarity and experience with regulatory agencies responsible for governance over your category (FDA, USDA, state/local agencies). Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% (typically travel every other week). PAY TRANSPARENCY A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $85,000.00-$119,500.00. You are also eligible for annual cash bonuses and equity awards based upon performance and other factors. Actual compensation offered may vary depending on skill level, experience, and/or education.
