CNC Miller Setter Operator
Location: Coventry (Commutable from Coventry, Leicester and Birmingham)

Salary: Starting rate 23.73 per hour ( 42,571.62 per annum), rising to 25.39 per hour ( 45,549.66 per annum) including shift allowance after 6 months, plus unlimited overtime

Shifts: Weekend dayshift - Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 06:00-18:00

Optima UK are proud to be working exclusively on 6 permanent CNC Miller Setter Operator positions with a well-established precision engineering and global manufacturer within the aerospace sector, operating across a variety of complex markets.

The Role

As a CNC Miller Setter Operator, you will be responsible for setting and operating CNC milling machines within a precision aerospace environment, working to set production times and targets.

Key responsibilities include:

• Setting and operating CNC millers (3-6 axis); knowledge of aerospace would be useful
• Working on Boko and Correa machines
• Working with 3 to 6 axis CNC machinery
• Providing flexibility in relation to operating more than one machine
• Working to achieve set production times and targets

About You

To be successful in this CNC Miller Setter Operator role, you will have:

• Mechanical apprentice training or be qualified by experience
• Experience with 3 to 6 axis CNC machines
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivation with the ability to multi-task, with guidance and supervision
• The ability to read and work from engineering drawings
