Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve faults within PAVA systems, both in the field and remotely, ensuring minimal downtime. Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all systems are compliant with relevant health and safety regulations, including fire and evacuation requirements. System Testing: Regularly test systems to confirm correct operation, including checks for clear sound output, audio quality, and integration with fire alarm systems. Documentation: Maintain accurate service records, including test logs, maintenance schedules, and repair histories. Generate reports for management and clients. Customer Support: Provide technical support to clients, ensuring satisfaction with system performance. Offer recommendations for improvements and upgrades. Training & Guidance: Assist in training staff or clients in the proper operation of PAVA systems and safety procedures. Emergency Response: Be available to respond to urgent service requests in the event of system failures, ensuring that all public safety communication remains intact. Requirements Experience: Proven experience in the maintenance, installation, and repair of PAVA or similar sound systems (fire alarm systems, PA systems, etc.) as well as Fire Systems. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, audio equipment, and relevant software tools used in PAVA systems. Certifications: Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering, sound engineering, or similar disciplines (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent). Problem Solving: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members. Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and precision, ensuring systems meet safety standards and regulatory requirements. Health & Safety Knowledge: Understanding of health and safety standards related to electrical systems and public address systems. Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call, for emergency maintenance.
