Join our dynamic and forward-thinking Eye Department as a Specialty Doctor and become part of a progressive NHS Trust committed to excellence in patient care. With over 120,000 outpatient visits, 6,000 inpatient cases, and 24,000 eye casualty attendances annually, you'll gain exposure to a diverse and complex patient population. Our Unit features a state-of-the art outpatient department and modern operating theatres, equipped with the latest technology. The Glaucoma Team is a vibrant, innovative group comprising 4 Consultants, 3 Specialist Doctors, 2 Specialty Doctors, Fellows, and Specialist Nurses, delivering both traditional glaucoma surgery and MIGS (Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery). As a Specialty Doctor, you will: Manage complex glaucoma cases and contribute to high standards of care. Participate in regular regional teaching and local glaucoma meetings. Support the training and development of AHPs and junior medical staff.
