Air Conditioning Engineer - Field Based

Location: London, Greater London, South of England (Candidates based South of the River Thames or near Sutton preferred)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Air Conditioning Engineer to join our team. This is a mobile role where you will be responsible for both service and installation of a variety of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, chillers, boilers, and more. You will work independently or as part of a small team, providing exceptional service to our clients, ensuring all systems are working efficiently and to the highest standards.

Air Conditioning EngineerKey Responsibilities:

  • Service, install, and maintain a range of HVAC systems, including:

    Gas Fired Boilers
  • Oil Fired Boilers
  • Air Handling Units (AHU)
  • Chillers and Split A/C Units
  • VRV/VRF Systems
  • Pumps, Valves (manual and actuated), and Pipework Systems
  • Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs on HVAC systems.
  • Work with clients in a customer-facing role, delivering excellent service and support.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company policies.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, reports, and service logs.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of skills and expertise within the team.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction at all times.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Minimum of Level 2 F-Gas qualification (essential).
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the HVAC industry.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating systems (including chiller systems).
  • Experience in service and installation works.
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a small, cohesive team.
  • Must have good computer skills for reporting and documentation.
  • Prior exposure to M&E building services is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a customer-facing environment with a professional demeanor.
  • A proactive, self-sufficient, and flexible approach to work.
  • Willingness to continue developing skills and keeping up to date with industry advancements.
