As an Interim Estates Surveyor, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including landlord and tenant matters, managing lease events, data cleansing, overseeing external asset valuations, and assisting in the delivery of redevelopment schemes. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the estate portfolio, whilst working closely with the wider estates team and external consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Landlord & Tenant: Handle a range of landlord and tenant matters, including rent reviews, lease renewals, and lease negotiations.
- Lease Events: Oversee and manage lease events such as break clauses, lease expiries, and rent reviews, ensuring they are processed in line with relevant legislation and procedures.
- Data Cleansing: Review and update property data to ensure accuracy and consistency across all estate management systems.
- External Asset Valuations: Manage the process of external asset valuations for properties within the council's portfolio, liaising with surveyors and external valuers as required.
- Redevelopment Schemes: Support the delivery and implementation of redevelopment schemes, providing estate-related advice and ensuring smooth project management.
- Commercial Portfolio Management: Assist in the management of the council's diverse commercial property portfolio, including reviewing lease terms, managing rent collection, and ensuring compliance with lease obligations.
