Water Treatment Chemist - Edinburgh

Due to continuous growth of the business, this diverse and fast growing water treatment company covering a range of industrial and commercial sectors across the country is actively seeking to employ a competent, hardworking and committed Water Treatment Chemist based in the Central Belt area. We welcome applications from Edinburgh, Glasgow and the central belt area.

• Ideally, the applicant will have City & Guilds qualification.
• Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.
• Must have significant demonstrable experience - working within this role and within the water treatment/water hygiene industry, which will include tank cleaning, disinfections, cooling towers, acid descales, steam boilers, flushing and closed systems, etc.
• Must be conversant with current guidelines - (ACOP L8).

• Chemical Analysis on Cooling towers, Steam Boilers and Closed Systems.
• Maintaining paperwork and ensuring that all work is carried effectively and appropriately.
• Building and maintaining a good rapport with company's mixed portfolio clients.
• Visiting sites as per client's requirements.

• In general, the successful applicant will be versatile, flexible, and multi-skilled, have good work ethic and the ability to carry out the work effectively and within time line.
• Must be prepared to travel extensively as and when required by the client.
