Programme Buyer
Location: Thetford, Norfolk

Are you an experienced Buyer with strong negotiation and supplier management skills? This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment, supporting key projects by sourcing quality materials, components, and services that meet cost, quality, and delivery targets.
What you'll be doing:
  • Purchasing goods, materials, components, and services in line with project and company requirements.
  • Supporting operations and other departments by communicating and resolving any supply chain issues.
  • Working closely with Programme and Production Managers to ensure timely supply of goods and materials.
  • Expediting deliveries and maintaining accurate project Bills of Materials (BOMs) and tooling records.
  • Conducting cost analysis and identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Preparing supplier reports and updates to support management decisions.
  • Researching and nominating new suppliers in line with project requirements and commercial objectives.
  • Negotiating contracts, improving pricing and terms of business, and applying best practice procurement methods.
  • Monitoring stock levels and determining appropriate order schedules.
  • Preparing and issuing purchase orders and order schedules to support customer and project demands.
  • Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships, ensuring professional communication and collaboration.
  • Ensuring compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and quality management standards (IATF 16949).
  • Supporting safe working practices and maintaining awareness of health and safety standards.
  • Carrying out additional procurement duties as required.
What we're looking for:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a procurement or purchasing environment (motorsport experience desirable).
  • College-level education or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and understanding of cost breakdowns.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel (advanced level preferred).
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
