We're looking for a creative and detail-oriented Senior Community & Social Media Manager to join our Marketing Team.
Position Overview
As our Senior Community & Social Media Manager, you will champion Marmalade's player community, ensuring our spaces are engaging, inclusive, and vibrant. While you will oversee our social media presence, your primary focus will be building meaningful connections with players, fostering engagement, and nurturing our community culture. Reporting directly to the Head of Marketing, you will collaborate with marketing, production, and external partners to grow our reach and strengthen player relationships worldwide.
Responsibilities
Community Management & Engagement
- Lead the development and growth of Marmalade's player community, ensuring an authentic and consistent voice across all platforms.
- Manage and moderate community spaces, responding to player messages and fostering a positive, inclusive environment.
- Design and run community programs (events, Beta Tests, initiatives) to encourage participation and deepen player involvement.
- Track community feedback and trends, providing insights to shape content, campaigns, and product engagement.
Campaigns & Events
- Support the planning and execution of giveaways, social campaigns, and digital activations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align social activity with major releases and events.
- Amplify community-driven initiatives and key studio news through social platforms.
- Reporting & Insights
- Monitor community and social media trends and competitor activity, keeping Marmalade at the forefront of best practice.
- Conduct regular reporting on community and social media performance (weekly, campaign-specific, quarterly).
- Share actionable insights with the marketing team to continuously refine strategy.
Social Media Strategy & Growth
- Amplify community-driven initiatives through social channels.
- Support content calendar planning, campaign execution, and social activations as a tool to support community growth.
- Track and analyse performance metrics, delivering regular insights and recommendations.
Influencer & Partner Collaboration
- Research and liaise with influencers and content creators to support campaigns and increase brand visibility.
- Manage approvals and maintain positive relationships with external partners.
- Coordinate promotional materials, codes, and SWAG for influencers and community leaders.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing online communities, ideally within the gaming or entertainment industry.
- Strong understanding of community engagement, trends, social media platforms and analytics tools.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to adapt tone to suit different audiences.
- Experience in planning, scheduling, and executing community and social media campaigns.
- Confidence in analysing data and reporting results to stakeholders.
- Creative mindset with a passion for games and gaming communities.
