Food and Beverage Assistant

Food & Beverage Assistant / F&B Associate required for a hotel in the Betchworth area of Surrey. TRANSPORT IS REQUIRED due to location.

This role is essential in providing exceptional service to guests, whilst ensuring that food safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering an outstanding bar & dining experience.

Responsibilities for the role of Food & Beverage Assistant / F&B Associate:

• Provide excellent guest services by greeting customers warmly and taking their orders accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the bar & dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Upsell menu & bar items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, employing basic maths skills for processing payments.
• Address customer enquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.

Skills for the role of Food & Beverage Assistant / F&B Associate:

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is not essential but is desirable.
• Strong hospitality skills is ideal, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
• Experience in food preparation techniques and culinary skills is an advantage.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively.
• Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with guests and team members.
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanour.

Shift work will be involved with this role, which will include working week-ends on a rota basis, early and late shifts, so flexibility is required to assist this hotel during busy periods.

The salary for Food & Beverage Assistant / F&B Associate is given as 25,396.80 per year / 40 hours week.

TRANSPORT IS REQUIRED due to location.
