The best Connection are looking to register skilled Class 1 Wagon and Drag Drivers to join a well-established Client in Barnsley operating skip wagons. This role is ideal for a driver who enjoys variety in their work and is happy to work flexible hours.
You will be responsible for carrying out skip exchanges and collections at various sites. Start times and daily hours will vary depending on site opening hours and the number of exchange requests.
Role: Class 1 (Cat C+E) - Wagon and Drag Driver (skip Wagon)

Shifts - Days Monday to Friday
Description:
We are looking for HGV C Class 1 Wagon and Drag skip wagon Drivers to work for our client located in Barnsley.
Day work - Typically between 2:00am and 5:00am
The work is generally ongoing once a driver has settled into the client and understands the remit of the role including all Health & Safety aspects.
This could be temp to perm for the right candidate.
Requirements:
- Be competent and able to follow Health & Safety practises and procedures at all time
- Be reliable and hold excellent time keeping
- Hold a flexible 'can do' attitude to your work
- Good command of English both written and spoken
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with skips (hooks and chains) preferred
- Experience driving rigids and drawbar trailers preferred
- Flexibility with start times and working hours
- Keep vehicle is kept clean and tidy at all times
- Have excellent geographic knowledge of UK road network
- Have a positive attitude and a professional work ethic
- Smart appearance, as you will be representing Freeway Recruitment & our client
Qualifications / training / experience:
You must be able to provide the following.
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) driving licence
- Valid Digital tachograph card
- Valid Driver CPC card
- Have No more than 6 current points on licence
- 2 work check-able work references
- 12 Month Wagon & Drag experience.
