Front End Software Developer

Front End Developer - National Security Business. Working on leading edge technology solutions including AI/DS, Cyber, Cloud, DevOPs/SRE, Platform Engineering. You will collaborate with engineers, scientists, analysts and creatives to deliver mission critical UI solutions that help keep the nation safe.

As a Front-End Software Developer, you'll perform full end to end development from design, implementation, through to testing and deployment of a user interface to a system that allows our customers to keep the nation safe. This role involves developing software for mission critical applications and requires collaboration with like-minded colleagues to create wireframes and storyboards that deliver intuitive products and improve user experience.

• Provide technical leadership within the UI team, including analysis to understand the impact of design and defining workflows, interactions and UI specifications in close collaboration with product owners, end users and the development team.
• Develop and maintain user interfaces for mission critical systems.
• Collaborate on wireframes and storyboards to deliver intuitive products and improve user experience.

• An exposure to some, but not all of the below (that would be ideal):
• Developing UI tests utilising tools such as Selenium, Jest or Cypress
• Module Bundlers (esbuild, parcel, vite, webpack)
• Understanding of accessibility standards and specifications such as WCAG, WAI-ARIA
• CI pipelines (e.g. Gitlab CI)
• Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• UX experience including Wireframing, Storyboarding using tools such as Figma, and user testing
