Music Teacher - Secondary School January 2026 Start
Location: Near Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire
Contract: Full-time, Temporary (2 Terms)
Salary: MPS/UPS (Dependent on Experience)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and imaginative Music Teacher to join a creative and forward-thinking secondary school near Bradford-on-Avon. About the Role
You'll be delivering engaging and inclusive music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, nurturing students' musical talents and encouraging creative expression. The school offers a broad curriculum and actively supports extracurricular music activities, including choirs, bands, and concerts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Music across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Plan and deliver inspiring lessons that develop musical skills and appreciation
  • Support and lead extracurricular music activities and school performances
  • Encourage creativity, collaboration, and confidence in students
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and academic progress

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in Music, including theory and performance
  • Experience teaching up to GCSE level
  • Ability to lead ensembles or music clubs is desirable
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A passion for music education and student development
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice
