Contek are working with an engineering client that operates from a 28,000 sq.ft. manufacturing facility. Making use of a wide range of the very latest machining cells including Multi Pallet Horizontal Milling, Multi Axis Mill-Turn Machining, Robotic and Bar Fed Lathes through to Swiss style Sliding Head Lathes to provide a flexible, competitive and reliable production solution. Two sides of the business, comprising of sub-contract machining for various industries including Automotive, Hydraulics and Defence - to Medical assembly of components within ISO13485 standards. Through growth, on the Medical side - they are looking to expand the team, and are looking for a Senior Quality Inspector to join their small quality team (Current team of 2 - and total of 50 members of staff). Generally a 37.5hr working core hour week. Key Responsibilities: Visual and hands-on inspection of a range of machined parts components and assemblies for various industries. Utilising a range of inspection equipment, including micrometres, verniers, calipers, height/depth gauges, and shadowgraphs. Using their CMM system (Aberlink - other systems considered) Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Requirements: Previous experience within quality inspection is required. Previous experience programming CMM is required. Previous experience using Aberlink software is desirable. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
