Chief Risk and Reporting Officer
Role Description
The Chief Risk and Reporting Officer plays a pivotal role in enhancing risk management and reporting frameworks to safeguard assets and drive long-term value for Northern Ireland Water Limited and its subsidiaries (collectively known as 'NI Water' or 'the Group'). The role oversees the development of resilient business continuity strategies, ensures optimal risk transfer through insurance, and upholds high standards of corporate governance. In addition, the Chief Risk and Reporting Officer serves as a trusted advisor to both the Executive Committee and the Board, delivering strategic and corporate reporting with precision and insight. Through this work, the role fosters strong, collaborative relationships with key external stakeholders.

Applicants MUST be able to demonstrate in their application and where necessary at interview:
1. (a) Have successfully completed the professional examinations and be a member of one of the following bodies, holding chartered status: i. (i) Chartered Accountants Ireland; ii. (ii) Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales; iii. (iii) Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland; iv. (iv) Association of Chartered Certified Accountants; v. (v) Chartered Institute of Management Accountants; or vi. (vi) Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. AND (b) Have gained at least five years' post qualification experience in risk and reporting roles.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience at senior management level of presenting to Executive Committee, Audit or Risk Committees on risk and reporting.
3. A minimum of 5 years' experience at senior management level of implementing best practice risk management and reporting.
4. A minimum of 5 years' experience at senior management level of managing teams and exercises with a broad range of diverse outputs across risk and reporting.
Senior management level refers to a role that is a direct report to an Executive Director or equivalent.
