Our client has recently secured a new project and are looking to expand their mobile team of skilled engineers. Gas / Mechanical Engineer £45,000£50,000 + Van + Pension + On-Call Rota additional £140 per month Based in Colchester Covering Essex, London (Very occasionally), Kent & Cambridgeshire Are you a skilled Gas or Mechanical Engineer ready to take on varied, hands-on work across both commercial and domestic sites? Want to join a growing, fast-moving business where no two days are the same and your skills are genuinely valued? We're on the hunt for a Gas/Mechanical Engineer to join our Essex-based team. Based out of our Colchester office, you'll travel across Essex, London, Kent, and Cambridgeshire, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, installations, and emergency repairs on heating, hot water, and mechanical systems. What Youll Be Doing: Installations: Commercial gas appliances boilers, burners, CHP units, heaters Mechanical plant pumps, pressurisation units, heat exchangers Pipework gas, water, heating, drainage Hot & cold water systems unvented cylinders, booster sets Commercial fixtures toilets, sinks, showers, urinals Flue systems (to regulation) Commissioning of new systems Maintenance & Servicing: PPM on gas appliances & systems (to SFG20) Combustion analysis & appliance testing Mechanical ventilation servicing (inc. BMS controls) Heating & hot water systems tanks, pipework, valves, radiators Strainers, filters, pumps cleaning and inspections Reactive Repairs: Diagnosing and fixing faults across gas and mechanical systems Attending emergency call-outs for heating/hot water issues Leak detection, pipe repairs, recommissioning failed systems What Youll Need: Commercial Gas Qualifications (Essential) Solid experience in HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems Flexibility to travel across multiple counties A proactive, reliable, can-do attitude What Youll Get in Return: £45,000 £50,000 (depending on experience) Company Vehicle (Ford Transit Custom) + Fuel Card 24 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays Pension Scheme Full PPE and branded company uniform Participation in the on-call rota (£140 retainer currently 1 in 6) Travel time considered at managers discretion Ready to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into rewarding, challenging work?
