Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Housing Focus)Location: Nottingham Office (Office-Based)
Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 + Car/Car Allowance (£5,000-£6,000)
Bonus: Historically paid annually as a % of salary

A well-established, privately owned construction business with a turnover of approximately £100 million. The company delivers high-quality developments ranging from 30 to 100 units, with a strong presence in the social housing sector and a growing portfolio of commercial projects.
The Opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to become the first commercial hire in England, with a clear path to build and lead a team. You'll be joining a company that values autonomy and initiative, with support from a Commercial Manager and Director who are based in England 2-3 times per month.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all commercial aspects of projects, with a focus on social housing new builds (70%) and commercial developments (30%)
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure project delivery within budget and timelines
- Use the company's in-house software for quantity surveying tasks (no prior experience with specific systems required)
- Potential to support estimating activities (desirable but not essential)
What You'd Need To Succeed
- Proven experience in housing new build projects
- Background in a similar-sized business
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to work independently
- Willingness to be office-based (Derby), with no site-based work
- Leadership potential to grow and manage a commercial team in the future
